         The use of this structure is that it prevents soil erosion especially in hilly areas and also serve as water storage device which can be used as and when required

This structure harvest the hill seepage and water from other rivulets which in turn is used for irrigation and household purposes

         These structures are usually constructed by boulders generally for preventing bank erosion.
