PICTURES OF VARIOUS WORKS DONE BY DEPARTMENT

These structures are generally constructed along river/seasonal rivulets banks to check erosion of soil and were water erodes banks and also cause flooding. This structure prevents both.

These structures are usually constructed by boulders generally to check soil erosion and also checks velocity of water in gullies and other rivulets.

These structures are usually constructed by loose boulders and concrete generally to check soil erosion and also checks velocity of water in gullies and other rivulets.

Drain line treatment in order to check water velocity and silt thus helps check flash floods

This structure is constructed where there is uneven leveling in fields. The use of this structure is that it prevents soil erosion when water flows from one field to other

Underground pipeline for irrigation purpose laying in progress. Underground pipeline not only saves water lost in friction and seepage but also saves power and valuable land space.

The pump house seen in picture is the source from which water is pumped in to underground pipe line system.

Bench terracing is done in uneven topography so that land could be used for agricultural purpose.

Lift irrigation system installed at Sirhind feeder. 25% subsidy is provided to farmers for installing these systems

The picture shows concrete open irrigation water channel , this helps in water saving which is lost as a result of friction and seepage besides provides faster speed of water flow.

Former Chief Minister Sr. Harcharan Singh Brar is seen inaugurating a lift irrigation project constructed by department

This structure checks soil erosion in gullies, rivulets and natural drains and  also serves as a water storage  for use in irrigation purposes.
